Lane Closures and One-Way Traffic, July 7 through 10
Wednesday, July 7th through Saturday, July 10th, the contractor will be closing lanes to complete the connections between existing and new pavement. This will result in sections of one-way traffic between the hours of 7 am to 7 pm each day. Expect delays and seek alternate routes when possible. July 2021 Location Map (PNG)

Access to Preston Country will not be impacted at this time.

Exact times and days may need to be adjusted due to weather and construction activities but this is the proposed schedule of closures.
February 4, 2021
The contractor's lime stabilization crew mobilized and has begun placement/mixing activities. The addition of lime to the soil allows for a more stable foundation for the upcoming concrete paving efforts.
During the lime operations, there may be intermittent delays or access adjustments along the project. February 6 through 13, weather permitting, limited, single-lane access for side streets and direct driveways will be necessary for 30 minutes to 1 hour to allow for the mixing. Advanced notice will be provided if any of the delays are anticipated to be longer than 1 hour.
January 6, 2021
Trail Closure - Broadmoor Lane to Woodview Drive
Thursday, January 7, 2021 and Wednesday, January 13, 2021, the section of trail will be intermittently closed between 7 am and 7 pm for construction activities. Uneven walking surface may exist when the trail is open until pavement can be replaced.
January 4, 2021
Road Opened to Traffic
The Contractor was able to complete the work and open the road to traffic earlier than anticipated. During the next week or two, short-term, intermittent lane closures will be required to restore the driving surface and repair potholes.
December 31, 2020
In true 2020 fashion, road construction plus sustained rains equaled high water on the road and a road closure.
The contractor arrived on site and made modifications to get the water off of the road. Once the water began to recede, we noticed that the roadway had been undermined and was not safe for traffic. Since we could not determine the full extent of the void under the pavement, the decision was made to close the road until mid-day on Tuesday January 5, 2020. This will allow for a full assessment of the roadway and repairs can be made to both the subgrade and surface.
The rains also exposed additional areas along Prosper Trail where potholes have formed; crews will repair those areas next week as well.
Please seek alternate routes until the roadway can be repaired.
December 23, 2020
There will be limited construction activity for the remainder of the year on this project. Construction crews will resume full activities around January 4, 2021. The Contractor remains on schedule for the planned Summer 2021 completion.
Town staff will be available if you have any concerns.

Weather Permitting, the Town's contractor, Mario Sinacola, will begin switching traffic to the new lanes Friday afternoon November 13, 2020 and be complete by the end of the day on Saturday, November 14, 2020. There are several steps in the process (installing new pavement markings, setting concrete barriers, moving traffic barricades into place) so expect delays and find alternate routes when possible.
November 5, 2020
The weather that delayed the traffic switch along Prosper Trail scheduled for the week of October 24, 2020, was a blessing in disguise. The rains brought to light a significant area of ponding in the vicinity of the driveway into the Gentle Creek Country Club that adversely impacts the driving surface of the roadway. The Town is in the process of working with the Contractor to implement the best solution to get the water to drain and reduce the ponding during storm events. It is currently anticipated that the traffic switch will happen the week of November 9th, and once a specific date has been determined, a social media blast will be sent out 24 hours before the traffic switch.
October 23, 2020
The temporary pavement has been completed on the north side of Prosper Trail. The intent is to switch traffic over to the new lane configuration Monday, October 26th after the morning traffic dies down. There are message boards and traffic control devises out to help ensure a smooth transition to the temporary pavement.
October 16, 2020
Weather permitting, construction crews will begin paving the temporary roadway along Prosper Trail between Coit Road and Custer Road next week (October 19 to October 23).
Expect short delays as equipment operations enter and exit the existing roadway. Once complete, a traffic shift to the new roadway will occur. It is anticipated that the traffic shift to the new roadway will occur the week of October 26, 2020.

Recently, there have been some activities from an adjacent development project and from Franchise Utility relocation activities that unexpectedly impacted residents. We wanted to let you know that both issues have been addressed and we are all doing our best to keep events such as these from happening again. The AT&T outage on Tuesday was due to the development's contractor hitting a line that was incorrectly marked and the closing of Broadmoor was done by the utility contractor without Town notice or permission. The Town contacted the contractor to make sure they coordinate any potential closures with the Town so that timely notification can be provided to the neighborhood. We appreciate your patience and understanding to the disruptions.
Don't hesitate to reach out to myself or the Town Inspector if you see something, have a concern, or just need an update.

September 10, 2020
