Adult Classes & Leagues

The Prosper Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of Adult classes to improve physical health, facilitate learning new skills, and engage the community in  recreational activities. Choose from the options below!  

Yoga 

Join our Yoga group to learn to go with the flow and breathe to build strength and confidence, on and off the mat! Certified Instructor Stephanie Kimball combines creative sequencing, a spirit of playfulness, and a dose of inspiration into every class. You'll leave feeling refreshed, nourished, and balanced.

Dates/days: Wednesdays, 8 - 9 a.m.   

June: 4 classes, $48 for the month or $15 drop in

July: 4 classes, $48 for the month or $15 drop in

August:  5 classes, $60 for the month or $15 drop in

Cost: $12 per class when registering for the month;  $15 to drop-in to one class  

Age: 18+

Location: The 407 Rec Center, 407 E. First St. Prosper, TX

Chair Yoga

For those with limited mobility, vertigo, or sedentary lifestyle, Chair Yoga provides the same benefits as a mat class without the difficulty of getting on the floor.  The Certified Instructor Stephanie Kimball adapt postures which make the class accessible to everyone. A chair practice incorporates all of the tools of a regular yoga class, such as deep breathing, postures and relaxation. 

Try Chair Yoga to:

• Better and deepen your breathing
• Reduce stress and anxiety
• Improve strength
• Increase flexibility and range of motion
• Improve circulation and blood pressure

Dates:  

June:  Tuesdays, 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. - $48 for the month or $15 drop in

July:  Tuesdays, 9:30 a.m. -  10:30 a.m. - $36 for the month or $15 drop in (no class July 4)

August:  Tuesdays, 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. - $60 for the month or $15 drop in

Adult Tennis 

Appropriate for beginner to intermediate players, great for new players wanting to learn the sport of a lifetime ands also for players returning to the game. Class meets Monday evenings all summer.

Dates:  Mondays June 5 - August 7,  7:45 p.m. - 8:45 p.m. 

Cost:  $179

Age: 16+
