The Town of Prosper is honored to invite the community to join us in remembering the tragic events of September 11, 2001, at a special 9/11 Ceremony to be held at the Prosper Central Fire Station, located at 911 Safety Way, on Monday, September 11, 2023, starting at 9 a.m.
This solemn event will feature heartfelt remarks from Town of Prosper Fire and Police Chiefs, as well as esteemed elected officials, including Prosper Mayor David Bristol, Congressman Michael Burgess and Congressman Keith Self. The ceremony will be a moment to reflect on the sacrifices made on that fateful day and to honor the memory of those we lost.
The program will include the National Anthem, a moving performance of "America the Beautiful" by the Rock Hill High School quartet, an invocation, a 9/11 Memorial video, Tolling of the Bells, Taps, a touching remembrance video and a heartwarming rendition of "Amazing Grace" by bagpipers. Additionally, a mobile memorial displaying a beam from the World Trade Center will be on exhibit, serving as a powerful reminder of the resilience of our nation.
As a special tribute, Careflite, PHI and Children’s Health will perform a helicopter flyover during the ceremony, adding a unique and awe-inspiring element to the ceremony.

In conjunction with the 9/11 Ceremony, the annual Carter BloodCare Blood Drive will take place throughout the day at the Central Fire Station.
