1. Does the Town offer any youth camps or classes?

Yes, please visit the Youth Recreational Sports & STEAM webpage for a list of classes and camps for Youth of all ages. Follow Parks and Recreation on Facebook for postings about all Youth activities.

2. May I rent a park pavilion?

The pavilion at Frontier Park is available for rental. Please visit our Frontier Park Pavillion Rental page for all the details on pavilion rental procedures, including rental fees, how to check availability, and set up an account. 

3. How do I sign up for the Parks and Recreation e-newlsetter?

You can sign up for the Parks and Recreation e-newsletter to receive the latest news and updates from the Town of Prosper Parks and Recreation Department. 

4. Is there a field rainout line?

Yes, you can call (972)-662-8999. Field conditions are updated daily at 3:00 p.m. To check the field status, please visit the Field Status page on the Town website. 

5. Can I find a list of Prosper parks somewhere?

For a complete list of all Prosper parks and trails please visit the Parks & Trails page.

6. How do I rent an athletic field?

Town Athletic Field Rental details are posted on the Town website at Sports & Fields | Prosper, TX (prospertx.gov). 

7. I have a non-emergency situation in a Town park. Whom do I contact?

Please call the Parks After Hours line at 469-400-1656.

8. How do I reserve space in the park?

 The Frontier Park Pavilion is available to rent. Follow the instructions on the Town website at Frontier Park Pavilion Rental | Prosper, TX (prospertx.gov).

9. Do you have a lost and found?

If you have lost an item, please call Prosper Parks and Recreation at (972) 569-1160 during regular business hours.

Items lost during practice or games: Please first visit the concession stand nearest to where you lost the item. Lost items are normally taken to concession stands by someone in attendance. Those stands are staffed after hours with Youth Sports Leagues volunteers and they have a lost and found there. 

10. Are there horseback riding trails in Prosper?

We currently have one horse riding trail that is a loop around Whispering Farms that was installed with the development (2.1 miles, with a 1.38 mile loop).

11. Does the Town offer co-ed adult softball?

Currently, Prosper offers Men's Softball and the City of Celina offers the Co-Ed League. We are continuously keeping an eye on resident comments and suggestions to see if there is enough to offer co-ed in the future. If you would like to notify and record your interest in a co-ed league for Prosper's Parks and Recreation Department, please contact Trevor Helton.

12. Is there a dog park in Prosper?

Prosper Parks and Recreation has no plans for a dog park at this time. A couple of dog parks near Prosper include:

The Department follows the Parks and Recreation Open Space Master Plan when planning facilities.

13. How can my business participate in an event?

If you are interested in sponsorships or exhibiting at Prosper events, please send an email of interest to events@prospertx.gov. Each Special Event is detailed on the Town website at Special Events | Prosper, TX (prospertx.gov). If applications are being accepted at the time, application links will be posted within a specific event.  

14. Does my child need permission to play at a park?

Our parks are open to the public and you and your kids are welcome to visit and play. You can view a full list of parks and trails on the Town website at Parks & Trails | Prosper, TX (prospertx.gov). If you have specific questions about the parks/usage of the parks, please contact our Recreation Manager, Trevor Helton, at thelton@prospertx.gov or call (972) 569-1064.

15. How do I find out about activities for Seniors and Active Adults?

There are several ways to learn about Active Adult 55+ programs in Prosper: Visit our E-Newsletters Page to subscribe to The Landscape E-newsletter for monthly news delivered to your inbox. Along with information about Parks and Rec, The Landscape includes activities and events for Active Adults. 16. Does Prosper offer community events?

Prosper offers numerous community events free of charge throughout the year. Check the Special Events page regularly on the Town website for what's happening in Prosper! 

17. How do I contact Parks and Recreation?

18. How do I apply for a job at the Frontier Park concession stand?

In Prosper, volunteer groups manage and organize the Youth Sports Leagues, including concession stands. Contacts for the individual leagues are displayed on the Town website at Sports & Fields | Prosper, TX (prospertx.gov).

19. Is financial assistance available to attend Parks & Recreation classes and programs?

The Parks & Recreation Scholarship Program is available to community members to attend camps, classes, and activities when they are financially unable to do so. Assistance is available to Youth, Adults, and Active Adults 55+ who are Prosper residents or who reside within Prosper ISD boundaries.
