A Glance at the 2025 Prosper Christmas Festival

Thousands of families enjoyed the holiday festivities of the 2025 Prosper Christmas Festival! Classic attractions alongside new activities provided attendees with an exciting, fresh experience in Downtown Prosper. Popular new experiences on the Town Hall grounds included an ice-skating rink, two Kid Zones with holiday-themed inflatables, and a dynamic snow machine. Returning favorites were Santa’s Workshop, Santa’s Selfie Station, Kids Christmas Shoppe, face painting, balloon artists, and the cookie-decorating station. Talented performers on the Community Stage included a martial arts demonstration, dancers, and school choirs. 

Holiday spirit sparkled throughout the event! Decorated, lighted exhibits were hosted by nearly 40 artisans, 20 hometown businesses, 5 nonprofit organizations, and 4 Town departments. Festive spaces, themed characters, fun activities, and games for kids drew attention to gift items for sale, as well as to local merchants and Town staff.  Near the festival entrance, a “Tree Farm” showcased Christmas trees decorated with ornaments handmade by Prosper ISD Elementary Art students. Festival goers were encouraged to take home an ornament as a keepsake. Thank you to Home Depot (Prosper, Frisco, and The Colony) for generously donating the trees! A performance by the Jones Middle School Jags Show Choir preceded the traditional Community Tree Lighting with Mayor Bristol and Council on the Town Hall lawn, and a spectacular Drone Show capped off the event!

 The event footprint was expanded to include Broadway Street in the heart of Downtown Prosper as the location for 16 food vendors and as a destination for holiday shopping. On the plaza, a mobile lactation station offered a private space for new mothers. Complimentary shuttles from Prosper High School alleviated traffic hassles throughout the day for Sponsors and festival attendees by running from 11:00 a.m. until everyone was returned to their vehicles after the event.
