PROSPER, TX – October 24, 2024 – The Town of Prosper is proud to host the annual Veterans Day Honor Run on Saturday, November 9, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Frontier Park (1551 Frontier Parkway). This year’s event has been expanded to include three exciting options: a 5K, a 10K and a Fun Run!
Held near Veterans Day, the Honor Run serves as a tribute to the men and women who have bravely served in our nation’s armed forces. The event is open to runners and walkers of all ages, with children, families and individuals with mobility devices all welcome. Whether you're a participant or a spectator, everyone is encouraged to come out and support this community event.
“The Veterans Day Honor Run truly captures the spirit of Prosper—a community that values service, love of country and respect for our nation's heroes,” said Mayor David Bristol. “I invite everyone to come out, participate and show their support for our veterans and their families."
The race schedule begins with an opening ceremony led by Prosper Mayor David Bristol, followed by the start of the 10K race. Shortly after, the 5K race kicks off and the Fun Run will commence afterward. The race will conclude with a medal ceremony at the Frontier Park pavilion. Proceeds from the event will benefit the future Veterans Memorial, which is set to be constructed at Frontier Park.
