Community Engagement Committee
The Community Engagement Committee was established by the Town Council to enhance the Town's interaction with the public. The committee serves an advisory role to the Town Council regarding Community Engagement activities, helping to identify topics of interest and methods to improve community engagement. Members evaluate, provide feedback and make recommendations on selected Town programs, events and activities. The committee also serves as a focus group for selected pilot projects or programs that may require or benefit from public input before implementation. Additionally, members act as social media ambassadors for the Town by engaging with the Town's social media platforms and sharing information among the Committee regarding community events that may interest the Town Council, such as multicultural celebrations, large neighborhood events and nonprofit activities.
Mayor's Youth Advisory Council (MYAC)
The Mayor's Youth Advisory Council (MYAC) plays a pivotal role in offering guidance to the Town Council on youth-related issues, assisting with special initiatives, designing and implementing youth-centered events, and serving as ambassadors for the Town of Prosper. MYAC members lead by example, inspiring positive change within their community. Visit the Mayor's Youth Advisory Council (MYAC) page to learn more.
Get Involved
We believe in the power of community and the impact we can make when we come together to lend a helping hand. While the Town rarely has volunteer opportunities directly available, we are delighted to partner with our local nonprofit organizations that are always in need of dedicated volunteers like you. These organizations play a vital role in addressing various community needs, from supporting vulnerable populations to preserving our Town's history and beyond.
Whether you are searching for a much-needed resource or would like to find volunteer opportunities, we have provided links below to our trusted nonprofit partners as well as a Volunteering & Connecting Flyer (PDF). We encourage you to reach out to the organizations directly to learn more about their offerings as well as volunteer programs.

The following is a list of plants that have proven to be hearty and do well in the Town of Prosper. One should spend time understanding the individual needs of the plant being selected as well as its ultimate size. This will help you select a plant that will do well over the years. Keep in mind that even though these plants have proven themselves in Prosper over the years, uncharacteristic weather, be that excess cold, heat, rain or drought could cause these plants to do poorly in the future.
