[ARCHIVED] Town of Prosper Participates in Spreading the Holiday Cheer by Partnering with these Local Non-profi

 In the spirit of giving, the Town of Prosper is partnering with local charities and non-profits in and around Prosper to bring holiday cheer to those in need. Each year, the Town participates in these local events to help enrich the lives of those in our community.  Help us continue to spread the holiday cheer by donating to any of our partners below to assist our neighbors in need in the following ways:

Cornerstone Christmas Hoodie Drive | Now until December 1
The Town of Prosper is partnering with Cornerstone Assistance Network of North Central Texas, a nonprofit organization, serving neighbors in need in Prosper, Frisco, Celina, Gunter, McKinney, Aubrey and beyond. Participate in November’s fundraiser by donating new hoodies (with new tags) size 2T – Adult XXL that will be donated to help provide over 350 local children with a true holiday blessing. Simply drop off your donations at any Prosper facility including Town Hall (250 W. First St.), Central Fire Station (1500 E. First St.) and Fire Station 2 (1140 S. Teel Pkwy.) in the drop-off box in the lobby on or before December 1. Cornerstone also has a Target wishlist and an Amazon wishlist for those who wish to participate virtually.

The Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign | December 2 | 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. | Kroger (1250 N. Preston Rd.)
On December 2, Prosper Mayor David Bristol and members of the Town of Prosper Town Council will be at Kroger at 1250 N. Preston Road in Prosper from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. ringing the bell to help raise funds to support The Salvation Army of McKinney’s year-round programs. Your generous support helps area neighbors battle poverty, addiction and homelessness. Prosper Ladies Association’s Prosper Christmas Angels
Members of Prosper Fire Rescue, Prosper Police Department and Prosper ISD Police Department are once again teaming up with the Prosper Ladies Association’s Prosper Christmas Angels program. The Prosper Christmas Angels program partners with local volunteers and community groups to grant holiday wishes for children and families in need within the Prosper Independent School District. Visit the Angel Tree, located in the Prosper Town Hall lobby, to scan a virtual tag that represents a child along with their wish lists. The tag for a child will include their age, gender, clothing size and wishes. Contributors can also sign up for one or more tags from the prosperchristmasangels.com website and purchase appropriate gifts for the child or family. Toys and clothing will be hand-delivered on December 10 by members of Prosper Fire Rescue, Prosper Police Department, Prosper ISD Police and the Prosper Ladies Association to local families in need right here in Prosper. Silver Angels donations can also be made on the website for senior citizens in our community who need some extra assistance will also receive items such as groceries, bills or prescriptions.

Neighbors Nourishing Neighbors Food Pantry
Prosper’s local food pantry, Neighbors Nourishing Neighbors, continues to see an increase in basic needs during the holidays. The food pantry is seeking donations of diapers sizes 3T-4T, 4T-5T, 5 and 6. In addition, canned meals are also in high demand during the holiday season. Items can be dropped off at their location at 474 N. Hays Rd. Ste. E1 right here in Prosper. Learn more by visiting n3foodpantry.org to learn how you can donate.
