Paws on Broadway will return to Broadway Street in Downtown Prosper from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 27! The memorable morning of festivities for dogs and owners will include delightful treats, adorable keepsakes, vendors, shaved ice and special moments at every turn! Come enjoy performances by Texas Amps & Axes youth bands, a balloon photo backdrop, tail-wagging canine fun including cool pools, ball pits, games and giveaways. This family-friendly community event is free of charge.
Make plans to stop by the Parks and Recreation booth to pick up a coupon for a free Pup Photo Hat (one per family, while supplies last). Take the coupon, along with a digital photo of your dog, to Inappropriate Trucker Hats, 116 W. Broadway St., for a personalized memento! Also at the booth, be sure to sign up for the raffle! The prize winner will be announced at the event and you must be present to win.
“We are excited to bring back one of the community’s favorite events. We invite you and your family to come visit us in Downtown and see all the new things going on in Prosper,” said Parks and Recreation Director, Dan Baker.
Parking for Paws on Broadway will be plentiful at Prosper Town Hall, 250 W. First St. Dogs are required to be on leashes at all times, except when in the fenced-in "Off Leash Area" on Broadway Street.
Due to the event, Broadway Street will be closed from Crockett Street to Main Street from 6 a.m. until 1 p.m. The sidewalk on North Main Street and Broadway Street will also be closed.
The next Downtown Prosper event will be Movie Night: May the 4th Be With You, scheduled for May 4, from 6:30-10:30 p.m. on the south lawn of Prosper Town Hall. The event features a showing of the film Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, as well as strolling movie characters, lawn games, popcorn, shaved ice, face painters and a balloon artist. Plan to dress as your favorite Star Wars character and come join the fun!
