HEARTSafe Community Program
HEARTSafe Community Program
The HEARTSafe Community Program is designed to recognize the efforts a community makes to its citizens in protecting them from the effects of heart disease and sudden cardiac death by evaluating different aspects of the system as a whole.
Recognition requires a multi-disciplinary team approach to review and complete the components of the HEARTSafe Community Program. Areas of evaluation include: Access to Emergency Care through the 9-1-1 Dispatch system; AED Access and Emergency First Responders; Advanced Life Support Protocols and Equipment; Community Awareness and Education; Meet or Exceed National Standards of Care for Emergency Cardiac Care; AHA Mission Lifeline Recognition; and Participation in the Cardiac Arrest Registry to Enhance Survival Data Registry. Communities that successfully complete the application process are eligible to display the NCTTRAC Heart Safe Community street signs throughout their communities. Become recognized as a Heart Safe Community and have an impact on a program in Texas that will lead to saving lives.

AED Registration Program
To help keep our community safe and prepared, Prosper residents can now register AEDs with PulsePoint AED Registry, a user-friendly tool designed to record and share AED location information. By participating in this program, you can contribute to identifying and mapping public access AEDs throughout our community, enhancing awareness and readiness in the event of a cardiac emergency.
Having an accurate network of nearby AEDs is essential for the successful resuscitation of individuals who experience cardiac arrest. Introducing PulsePoint AED, a powerful tool to build, manage and mobilize an emergency AED registry. Registered AEDs are accessible to 911 call takers and are disclosed to those nearby during cardiac arrest events. The app is simple to use: Once downloaded, users can manage and add AEDs in the community. See an AED that’s not on the map? Add it! Administrators will be notified, verify the information, and update the registry.
For more information about the PulsePoint program and how you can get involved, visit the PulsePoint AED Registry website. Your participation is vital in helping us maintain a heart-safe community.
You can download the PulsePoint AED Registry yellow app on your Android or iPhone. Help us enhance the AED network and keep the Town of Prosper a HEARTSafe community!
