Overview

The Downtown Ad Hoc Committee was established in October 2023 by the Town Council for the purpose of implementing the Town's Downtown Master Plan.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Acting in an advisory capacity to the Town Council regarding the development of the Downtown area.

Downtown Masterplan

The Downtown Master Plan outlines the Town of Prosper’s long-term strategy for revitalizing and transforming its historic downtown into a vibrant, walkable, and economically thriving district. Developed through extensive community engagement, the plan identifies key public spaces like the Town Green, Downtown Connector, and Downtown Plaza, alongside four private development catalyst sites focused on retail, dining, office space, and housing. It emphasizes a balanced implementation strategy built on six pillars: political, organizational, regulatory, financial, physical, and market.

Downtown Monumentation Masterplan

The Downtown Prosper Monumentation Master Plan establishes a unified vision for gateways and monuments that create a strong sense of arrival and identity in downtown Prosper. Shaped by community input, the plan features coordinated gateway elements inspired by Prosper’s agricultural and railroad history, with phased implementation at key downtown intersections. The project supports placemaking, economic development, and a welcoming downtown experience for residents and visitors alike.
