Fire Permits & Inspections

The Fire Marshal’s Office conducts inspections for residential and commercial projects to ensure compliance with the Town of Prosper Fire Code. This includes a thorough plan review before a permit is issued, followed by on-site inspections during construction to verify ongoing code adherence.

Permits

Apply for all fire-related permits using the Citizens Self-Service (CSS) Application Assistant – Fire Permits page. Each approved permit will receive a FIRE-00-0000 number.

The CSS portal is available 24/7 and allows users to:

• Submit fire permit applications
• Track permit status
• Request inspections
• Pay permit-related fees

Inspections

While inspections can be requested online in CSS, it is the contractor’s responsibility to request the inspection directly from the Fire Marshal’s Office at fire.inspections@prosperfire.com or by calling 972-346-9469.

Note: Inspections are not scheduled until they are confirmed via email or phone by our office.

Fire Suppression System permits cover all water-based and non-water-based systems. The following permit types are included:
