Prosper Fire Rescue and Prosper Emergency Management personnel are in constant contact with Collin County Health Care Services, Denton County Public Health, the Texas Department of State Health Services, as well as the CDC in order to monitor the daily local and regional impact and will immediately share any new information with the Town of Prosper, its residents, and the Prosper Independent School District. - How do I find help installing a child’s car safety seat?

Prosper Fire Rescue has certified car seat installers. You may fill out an online request form or call the Fire Station at 972-347-2424 to set up an appointment. Please review the Child Car Seat Installation Program flyer (PDF) for more information.
- Can I get my blood pressure checked at the fire station?

Yes, we offer this service free for the community we serve. Keep in mind the firefighter may or may not be in the station when you go. If you have a true emergency, please dial 911. You can get your blood pressure checked at either of our Prosper Fire Department locations:
- Central Fire Station - 911 Safety Way
- Fire Station 2 - 1140 S Teel Parkway
- Fire Station 3 - 1500 E. First St.
- What type of fire extinguisher should I have in my home?

A multi-purpose fire extinguisher is best for residential use. Look for the rating to be at least 2A:10B: C on the label. This type of extinguisher can be used on any type of fire and is often referred to as an “A-B-C” extinguisher.

The Town of Prosper is committed to open and responsive government in accordance with the Texas Public Information Act. All requests for public information must be made in writing. Submit a request online.

- How do I obtain an EMS incident report?

You may obtain a copy of an EMS incident in which you were involved by emailing Chief Bill Bonny or calling 972-347-2424 or in writing to:

Prosper, Texas 75078Please include your name, address, telephone number, date and time of the incident, nature of the incident, and incident location in your request. You must pick up the EMS report in person and provide valid photo identification in order for the report to be released. For patients under the age of 18, only legal guardians with valid photo identification will be allowed to pick up the EMS report. Prosper Fire Rescue will comply with all court-ordered EMS document releases.
- How do I obtain my ambulance bill and/or who do I speak to concerning my ambulance bill?

All ambulance billing services for Prosper Fire rescue are provided by Emergicon, a third-party billing agency contracted by the Town of Prosper. To contact Emergicon, please call 1-877-602-2060 or email Emergicon.
- Do you host birthday parties or take the fire engine to schools?

We are unable to host birthday parties at the fire station due to the chance of an emergency call. But, we can also visit your location with the fire engine and or ambulance. We also visit schools when requested. If you would like us to visit your child’s class have the teacher, principal, or another school district representative contact the department at 972-347-2424 to make arrangements.
- Do you offer Station tours?

Our house is your house! Prosper Fire Department welcomes tours of the fire stations and trucks. The tours last approximately 30 minutes and include viewing a fire engine, ambulance, firefighting equipment, fire gear, emergency medical equipment, and living quarters. To schedule a tour, complete our online request form or call us at 972-347-2424 during normal business hours or send an email to Prosper Fire Rescue.
- How do I sign up for Smart911? How do I turn off alerts?

- Go to the Smart911 website and click “sign up today.” You will then be prompted to enter your information.
- To receive weather alerts, go to the alerts tab located on the right side of the webpage and click “opt-in now.”
- Enter your notification preferences (email-phone-text) and select how your preference.
- To opt-out and remove weather alerts, log into your Smart911 account, select “edit alerts” located at the top right of the page. Select and remove the check on “notification preferences.”
- To remove your Smart911 account, click on “Account settings” in the toolbar at the top of the page, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and select “remove the account.”
- You can also sign up and remove alerts or accounts on the Smart911 App. The settings tab located at the bottom of the Smart 911 App allows you to complete all edits.
- Go to the Smart911 website and click “sign up today.” You will then be prompted to enter your information.
- How do I view the railroad cameras?

You can view the railroad cameras via the Live Railroad Camera Feed.
- How do I report an issue with the train?

To report issues with the BNSF Railroad, you can contact BNSF directly. To report malfunctioning crossing gates and lights or a vehicle stalled at a crossing, you should call BNSF's emergency number at 800-832-5452. This number will connect you directly to BNSF's Resource Operations Call Center, which is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If your vehicle has stalled on a crossing, exit the vehicle immediately, move away from the track, and call BNSF's emergency number at 800-832-5452 to report the stalled vehicle.
- Can I request the Fire Department to drive by my house?
